I couldn’t agree more - I get my grandchildren playing the best games from my childhood, most of which they think are so bizarre they can’t stop laughing.

Here we go again the usual and hysterical ’KIDS TV IS THE ROOT OF ALL TODAY’S EVILS!!!!’ No it isn’t. Parents should be looking to themselves. If they feel their kids are getting obese -check what they are eating, stop them watching telly, get them involed in sports.

You say it at the end of you posting - but you use the usual headline to grab the attention. Whny not use PARENTS - YOU ARE KILLING YOUR KIDS!’ or ’PARENTS - WAKE UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY’ they are much closer to the truth.

hi there...I got your point...but it all depends on what you are actually trying to say... i guess i have made that pretty clear in the last para...everyone have their own individual perception. Only thing that matters is that the parents should get to the root cause of this probz.

Anyways, Will thnx for your feedback...

Some strategies to cut back on TV watching:
1) Cover your TV(s) when not in use
2) Turn off the TV during dinner
3) Get TV(s) out of the bedrooms
4) Take pictures of TV zombies, when they are watching

TV may not be the direct cause of all the ills of society, but it is linked to an alarming number of problems. For example, commercials encourage viewers to drink soda, which is a major cause of weight gain. Marketers know how to manipulate kids to nag. There is still the step that parents need to buy the soda, but parents are overall more likely to give in to their kids nagging after the commercials (in US it’s about 50,000 commercials per year on average).

The solution is for parents to first take firm control of the commercials, the content, and the time kids watch TV. Get rid of the TV if necessary. Then it will be easier to get in control of other aspects of their families lives.
