Ludicrous. I know that most people object to the hospital ”johnnies” that only tie on the back, but this teal-colored outfit is ridiculous. And the original article in the British press refers to it as an ”interfaith” gown, citing that Hindus, Christians, Jews, Muslims and Rastafarians value modesty. That outfit doesn’t resemble anything I’ve ever seen on a Hindu, Christian, Jew or Rastafarian. Orthodix Jewish women don’t wear pants. Strange world, the press can’t quite seem to speak plainly.

That shouldnt be your problem. You are not forced to wear it. Its for those people who prefer to guide their modesty properly and not just for the sake of the world.One cant just comment about the people by wat they see on TVs n all. One should go in real life places and then comment!!

In regards to this new ”stylish Burqa gowns ”. A Burqa is still a Burqa! This teal color one is a little less frightfull then the all BLACK one.

and in regards to ZURWAS comment, I do not believe most woman have the choice to wear the Hijab. I have seen little girls not old enough to speak with a Hijab on their little heads.

So you are telling me that these children had a choice? Isn’t haram to force someone to wear a hijab?

and in regards to having to see westerns in a bikini, it is very different than seeing women in burkas.

Most of the time that a woman wears a bikini/bathing suit is to be able to enjoy the sun and get some rays on their skins. As you may have noticed western women DO NOT walk IN PUBLIC ALL DAY wearing just a bikini, These women they do not attend religious events in just bikinis nor do they attend their childrens school or their work in a Bikini.
Women that wear a BURKA, tend to wear it all the time when they need to be in a place where they may be exposed to other men, a man that it is not her husband/brother/father is not allowed to see her with out it.
So walking to work/driving to work, going to the market, attending childrens school/plays/appointments they have to wear this long black piece of garmet and only exposing their eyes,if they are allowd!!!

I believe it is very silly to compare a bikini exposure to a BURKA exposure.
and If a western woman was to fly to a BURKA destination point they too would have to wear something to cover up to abide by the foreign law, so why can the Burka ladies respect our laws too?
